Human Resources consists of 2 professional staff members who are responsible for providing the City’s operating departments with assistance and direction as it applies to employee recruitment, employee relations, performance management, as well as, guidance in the administration of organizational policies and federal and state regulations. Additionally, Human Resources handles all areas of benefits administration, classification and compensation administration, personnel records management, labor relations and training and development.
Citizens often contact Human Resources in regard to employment opportunities that may exist within the organization. Employees are encouraged to contact HR with any questions they may have regarding employment or benefits.
Some of the larger projects that have been undertaken by Human Resources include a comprehensive classification, compensation and performance evaluation study and the adoption and implementation of the new systems. New medical, dental, vision, prescription, stop-loss, life and voluntary life insurance programs were recently implemented resulting in cost efficiency for the City. An Employee Wellness program, which includes annual on-site medical screenings is available to employees.
